about ME

From a very early age I loved making films, the process fascinated me. I think it all stemmed from my dad who always had a video camera with him on every holiday we ever went on!

Through college and in to university I chose any subjects related to media studies and film making. After graduating with a degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications I landed a job filming and editing event videos, from there I wound my way into the non-profit sector and worked my way up to head of a film department. I loved my job, it took me all over the world filming, from the frozen lakes in Siberia to the hot and dusty streets of the Congo, Burundi and many other places in East Africa! I learned so much about filming, editing and directing, while working for the non profit  over the last seven years. Gaining a real understanding of the business I so enjoyed being a part of.

At almost the same time I got my first job, I started dabbling in the freelance sector working with advertising agencies creating marketing videos for all sorts from tobacco companies through to dog food companies, like Pedigree.

Over the years I took on bigger jobs; a couple of years ago directing and overseeing the edit of a multi camera event film in the extreme sports sector. It was fantastic to make films of international events in my favourite sport, wakeboarding. I’d spent about three years traveling all over the world doing this for fun (and now I was being paid to make films about it)! I’d been filming and editing movies for my friends the whole time, I loved making them. I was so happy to be commissioned to produce films for these large scale events!

Now I am an established full-time freelance filmmaker and have been hired for a wide variety of work from interviews, conferences to live events for privet, corporate and charities. I love both the fun and challenges these projects present.

My Services

I specialise in projects where the clients require a self-shooting director to capture interviews, create branded content or live events. I have experience in directing and organising crews to film for larger projects, delivering to the clients brief and vision, as well as working as a member of a filming crew. The footage I capture can be delivered raw, or fully edited according to the clients brief. I also provide a standalone editing service to the clients brief. My editorial skill and ability to creatively tease out the emotion from the material, will always bring the story to life.

I always deliver high quality work and bring a positive attitude. I’d love to hear about your project, so please get in touch to discuss, no project is too big or too small.
